Wait a minute, is that the MV Mountwashington making Merrymeeting a new port of call :cool:

The picture gives the impression that the sun is setting in the east. I suspect that it's the illusion from the setting sun hitting a bank of clouds over the east end of the lake.

Slalomer got it right. I happened to check the LakeCam that evening and it actually appeared that the sun was setting in the east. Maybe that would explain the awful stretch of weather we've seen this month. Thankfully, summer finally seems to be arriving with the beginning of June.
