Eagle sightings?

Have there been any eagle sightings at the lake this Spring? We had the confirmed sighting through the pictures last Fall, and an unconfirmed sighting last Spring. Anyone else?

We saw a large eagle sitting on the stump in the water off Pine Point this morning (near the flashing buoy). He (she?) took off as we approached and flew into the woods.

The white tail feathers and head were unmistakable. So nice to see one. I hope it isn't the last time this year.

I would love to see an Eagle. Never seen one before -- except on TV! I've seen hawks at home and up at the lake. I'm comming up to the lake next weekend and will keep a lookout for both!

we were out wakeboarding last august and we saw one up on top of the trees near camp pride.

Yesterday afternoon we spotted a bald eagle perched on top of a dead tree at the top of the ridge behind Cedergren West. It sat for several minutes and then took off and circled above the ridge. "Tuffy" and "Scruffy" Loon were in the area and I don't think Mom (or Dad?) was very happy about the situation from the noise he/she started to make. The bald eagle's soaring pattern gradually moved west until we lost sight.

Last week we saw a bald eagle flying across the lake with a fish in its claws. Pretty wild.

Saw a beautiful bald eagle flying over the fish hatchery this morning. I think it's the same bird I saw about two weeks ago, perched in a tree near the marsh parking area on MM Lake Road.

My neighbor, who lives on the lake year round, saw 3 Eagles in Pleasent Cove last week. He only saw them one day.

Bald Eagle sighting this morning around 9:45am. It flew past my house and landed on a rock to eat his catch of fish. A kayaker got too close and sent him away. He's currently perched in a tall dead pine along the shoreline on the northern side of Broad Cove. Great sighting for the 4th of July! :)

There is a bald eagle nest on Merrymeeting Lake Road across the river. I noticed a birdwatcher observing and stopped to take a look. The female was feeding the eaglet and the male was on a log in the middle of the river. Looks like they are here for the season !
