I'll have some visitors this weekend who are training for an upcoming half marathon. Is it possible to run completely around the lake? I know there are gaps in the roads at the east end but are there paths to be followed without violating private property rights?

Thanks.

Due to private property at the end of South Shore Rd. the answer would be "no", you can't run all the way around the lake.

It would be nice though if you could....hilly but nice views.

As CameraEye noted, the major gap is between the end of S. Shore Rd and Camp Pride. Unless you are a billy goat, you can't get through without trespassing.

However, if you would like to send me email offline (click on my username to the left and follow the link to send me email), I'd be happy to let you drop them at my dock on the east end. They could then run from there, around Pine Point to the North Shore Rd, and all the way to the end of S. Shore.

Another nice option, though very flat, is to run on the bike/walk path out of Wolfeboro along Lake Wentworth. It's an old railroad bed that's been converted. Very nice views and running.
