We found a floating dock section in the middle of the lake this morning. It was in the middle of the lake, half way between the marina and Broad Cove.
The section is approximately 4'x3' with blue styrofoam floatation, with a yellow nylon rope tied around the center, holding a cinder block that was dangling about 3' below in the water. I'll post a picture of it later today.
Someone may have had this anchored on their shoreline and the wave action of the weekend lifted the block and started it floating.
It looks like it may have been designed to be a loon nesting platform.
