2021 MMLA BOAT PARADE REMINDER

2021 MMLA BOAT PARADE REMINDER
THEME: “CELEBRATE SUMMER”
SATURDAY, JULY 17
MEET AT DAM AREA AT 4:00 PM

Please join the MMLA Boat Parade on Saturday, July 17.  We’ll gather at the dam at 4:00 PM and head out along South Shore, then around the East End, and back along the North Shore, finishing up back at the dam around 6:00 PM.  The lead boat is a pontoon boat and will be identified with a MMLA banner.

The pace will be slow and steady.  Please follow along in single file and maintain a respectful distance from rafts and moorings.

Decorating your boat is not required, but if you would like to decorate, the theme is “Celebrate Summer!”  When decorating, please keep in mind that shoreline spectators will see the STARBOARD side of your boat.

Weather concerns: If we have to postpone due to thunderstorms, we will put an announcement on the MMLA website and facebook pages by 2:30 PM on Saturday, and we would try again on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.  Please check these pages before setting out.

A call out for memberships: we have over 500 homes on the lake and just over 200 members.  If you haven’t joined the MMLA yet this year, please do so!  Your membership supports our conservation, preservation, water quality protection, and social event endeavors here on the lake!

Joining is easy – simply go to the website for details: www.mmlake.org/shop/
